We had the advantage going into this one with an extra TH10 and BAYERN having 2 TH7s in their line up. These mismatches happen sometimes and each team just has to do their best. The war opened with a flurry of attacks on both sides, so we thought it might be close, but soon we noticed an odd trend the enemy was attacking far below what they needed to win. None of the first 13 attacks was higher then our 18, this fact is highlighted by the 2 star attack #1 (Kane) vs #18 (MCJiveMonkey) . Their attacks began to slow down and in typical Raze fashion, we just kept attacking. It was at the 1:30 hours mark when he hit a long string of 3 stars. The war was clearly going to be a blow out. It seems that after several weeks of near misses everything lined up and the 3 star attacks just kept coming. We saw GoVaHo, GiHeHo, GoHo, GoLaLoon and a slew of other attack forms all hitting perfectly. In the end we 3 starred 30 out of 35 bases, with several extra practice attacks also getting 3. Shout out to Olav, Mattable, Wonger, Superolly2000, MCJivemonkey for their perfect 6 stars.
The only negative point that leadership would like to point is their were 3 cases of Dib stealing. I urge you to check ClashCaller or ask in chat before doing this. In most cases I’m sure the dib holder would be willing to give it up especially in a war like this. Just think “do I want it done to me”? -Celebrintir Close doesnt even begin to describe this war. This war did not start off well for Raze by any stretch of the imagination. 6 out of our first 8 attacks were for one star. That is not the Raze way. Our first round of attacks must bring home more stars. The official policy is that first round attacks are supposed to be against bases in which a three star is VERY LIKELY. I understand when plans go wrong or something just doesnt happen the way you imaged and that throws off the end result. If you are someone that consistently fails to get a three star on your first attack, you need to aim lower. This war should not have been this close. We had 22 one star attacks this war out of the 70 attacks used. That's an embarrassingly high number against a clan that is not as strong as some of the others we have faced in the more recent past. We had 7 first time three stars on bases. That number needs to be a lot higher so we can figure out where to allocate our second round of attacks. We do not want to be in the position of being behind and putting more pressure on the cleanup attacks. Thanks to Cloud for putting together the graphs. These are some incredibly close findings which helps to highlight how close the war was throughout the entire duration of the war. Overall Stats
18 three star attacks, 13 two star attacks, 2 one star attacks, 2 bases left unconquered which gave us 190/200 clan xp. In addition to that, we managed 8 defensive victories. Most heroic attack goes to King Wittocx. Unfortunately supercell has once again erased the weekend recaps before anyone could record our best attacks. Most heroic defense goes to Super Olly 2000. Our six star attackers this week are: Mrs. Duke and Rebel Clan Business This week marks the first ever Raze Invitational. We are still tweaking the process. This week, if you finished in the top 15 of clash caller rankings or the top 15 of the leadership war contribution formula rankings, you are invited to take part in the Invitational. War search starts Tuesday Night after the Follow-Up war ends. In the future, the top 15 will be chosen based on the total combination of the clashcaller rankings and leadership rankings. Why do we do this? The leadership formula is weighted so that three star attacks on your first attack factor in heavily. This weekend, we had an embarrassing number of one star attacks. This represents an increasing and disturbing trend in our recent wars. Therefore, in order to help eliminate some of this, we are using first attack three stars as a significant contribution to the invitational ranking score. In addition, the official policy on the Follow-Up War (formerly known as the Monday War or Mid-Week War) attacks has changed. The details are at the bottom of the war strategy page but the short version is that we are treating the Follow-Up more like the weekend war. First round attacks need to be focused on getting three stars. Practice attacks require the user to have both heroes and to post the plan ahead of time. This helps cut out the "I think I would have done better if I was full strength" part of practice. As always, if you're a townhall 8 or one of the lower members of the clan, please do try to get your attacks in as early as possible. Doing so helps us know which bases need cleaned up so those cleanup attacks are not used chasing stars higher up in the war. Raze On! -Duke
Wow what a difference a week makes! This weekend was a nice change of pace. ClanKrieg came out hot putting up lots of stars but they only managed ONE SINGLE 3 STAR ATTACK in the first 19 hours of the war. Those results aren't going to win many wars and especially not against Raze Infinity. I would like to congratulate the entire clan on an awesome weekend. I really enjoyed watching so many quality attacks and for the 100% participation! Hopefully Cloud manages some free time soon to work on the graphs, until then you'll just have to image how awesome they will be. Overall Stats This was not a fun recap to write up. We knew from the beginning that the latest update held some sort of new matchmaking calculations to make heroes and walls count more. In a clan like ours, that's definitely concerning. NR out townhalled us 6 th10's to 4 and with two fewer th8's. Raze came out strong and held a lead for the first couple hours. Then things turned unpleasant. As always, a big thanks to Cloud for putting the graphs together. Overall Stats
7 three stars, 19 two stars, 8 one star, one base left undefeated for 145/200xp. This wasnt our finest showing. I was looking through the war log and I couldnt find another war where we scored a lower percentage of available stars. That being said, these guys had some amazing layouts and we still managed to get xp from every base except one. Most heroic attack was by 2. the duke 5 against either the enemy number 2 or 4. The replays are gone otherwise I would be able to tell you more. Most heroic defense (YEAH! we had one this time) goes to 24. Cloud. We also managed to win 7 attacks against this clan which isnt too shabby in my opinion. A big shout out to our only 6 star attacker this week: Addicted Steel! Clan Business We will continue with the GroupMe experiment since it seems to be an effective way of planning and evaluation. I know that GroupMe is not available in all parts of the world. If you would like a similar advantage, you're more than welcome to draw out your plans and one of the co-leaders can post it for the leadership group to evaluate. Its tough being so international sometimes lol. I know this weekend wasnt much fun but I am impressed with how we put a lot of effort into every attack and very nearly managed to get stars against all enemy bases. Supercell can talk about improving the matchmaking system and redoing the calculations but I honestly believe this was just a product of bad luck. The enemy had someone with max walls (we dont come close to that) and two people with max heroes (we definitely dont come close to having that) so its hard to say how much that weights have changed. I think we were doing for an extreme matchup. Try not to be discouraged. We still an amazing clan that I wouldnt trade for anything else! Raze On Duke |
