3 biggest keys to hogging
- Lure and kill the CC
- Kill the AQ (typically done with a golem and your own BK
- Address double giant bomb locations, either path around or defuse them.

The last 2 Wars I’ve been using a GoHo based army, to be honest is was a paradigm shift to move to this and trust that only 20 Hogs would actually work to 3 star a base. But once you except that the hogs are up to the task so long as they are deployed in the right way it becomes a very flexible attack form. I use 1 Pekka but 5 more Wizards or whatever you prefer would work fine also.

20 Hogs
1 Pekka
6 Wizards
6 Wall Breakers
5 Archers
2 Witches
Spells:
3 Heals
1 Jump
Attack Breakdown:
Step 1 The Lure.
You must give up 2-4 Hogs on this phase, if you can take down a defense then do it but no matter what you must get all the CC troops out. Once out you have to pick you battle field. The BEST solution is if you can deploy your kill squad (2 Witches, 1-5 Archers, 2-4 Wizards) in the same corner that faces the opponents Archer Queen. This will give you a boost in Step 2.
If you can’t kill the CC in the area of the AQ then choose an area where the Witches will survive the longest away from Mortar fire.
Step 2 Kill the Queen
Once the CC has been dealt with it’s time to kill the Queen. The Golems go down first you want to both attract the Queen and tie up the Xbows if you can. Use some Wizards and Archers to start clearing and get ready to drop your Wall Breakers, Barb King and Pekka when the Queen comes out. Your Jump spell is the method of last resort if your Wall Breakers fail to expose the Queen. Once this is in motion drop your Archer Queen to follow your Golem, King into the fray. When you see the Enemy Queen die you are ready to start the Hogs.
Step 3 Hogs Away
You want to deploy your hogs in a way to get to Xbows and core defenses as fast as possible. If you know the Giant Bomb location pre-heal as needed. The idea is that if they can reach the defenses while your Golems and King are still up you will prevent them from all dying and you will have the muscle left to kill the base.
Step 4 Reserve
As you watch the the battle, and drop heals, look for outliers buildings - or if the Town Hall is still up but has path - you can deploy the 1 or 2 Wizards that you should be holding for the final phase. This is critical I have failed this before and ended up with the dreaded 99%. Careful use of the reserve can win the day.
