How often should we declare a clan war? It's fun and we gain loot bonus, but it's also time consuming and expensive. Let's vote on it!
Congratulations again for another awesome victory! We prevailed with a score of 97-73 against a very strong enemy. We launched 62 attacks to their 75, but with much better results. We averaged 1.56 stars per raid, while they had 0.97. Most valuable players: Mealypudding and Cydie, both won 6 stars and their bases lost 0 stars on defense. Nice work! Here is a chart of stars won versus enemy base rank... We got 3 stars on all bases ranked 32-45th. The region from 15-30th was mostly 1-2 stars and we had a nice chunk of 3 stars around 10th. The only room for improvement I can see is the cluster of 1 stars at around 20th place. We did have some players who were inactive (did not attack at all). They could have helped us turn some of those 1s into 3s!!! It's also interesting to look at how each of our players fared in terms of "star profit," that is, the total stars each player won minus the number of stars lost in defense. While most of our top players profited and our lowest ranking players lost, some outstanding players emerged in the lower ranks. The best examples are cheese (5 star profit, rank 30th) and Klassik (4 star profit, rank 37th).

Scout out some bases for tomorrow's attack! Remember, search for bases about 10-15 ranks lower than your own, and plan to get 3 stars. Think about your attack strategy beforehand!
Congratulations! We won the war with an impressive score of 95-36. Our most valuable player is clearly Lizpig, who gave us 6 stars on some very strong bases. Nice work!
Below is a chart showing how many stars were won as a function of the attacked enemy's base rank. As you can see, we always got 2-3 stars on a base when its rank was lower than 30. From 15-30, we had mostly 1-2 stars. Around rank 10th there was a "no man's land" where bases were never attacked. Finally, our brave leadership attacked some of the strongest bases, with mixed results from 0-3 stars. It is also interesting to look at stars won as a function of "rank differential", which is defined as your rank minus the rank of the base you attacked. For example, if my rank is 4th and I attack a base ranked 10th, then the differential is -6 for that battle. Clearly, stars increased on average as the rank differential went more negative. But, if the rank differential is too low (say, -40), you are wasting your strong troops on a weak base. When people attacked ranks higher than their own base (differential is a positive number), the most common outcome was 0 stars. In conclusion, I think we should aim for rank differentials around -10 or -15 for most wars. This gave us the most stars, but doesn't waste too much resources. |
