War begins tomorrow! Prepare for a bloody war! We face an enemy of equal strength and high activity level. Every star counts! So we are depending on YOU to do an awesome job on offense and defense. As usual, here are some tips to help you be successful:
#1) Set up your base for Defense:
#2) Attack the Enemy:
#1) Set up your base for Defense:
- Move Town Hall into the center
- Move Clan Castle as close to center as it can go. This prevents easy luring. If you have a Barb King, also keep him tucked into the center spot.
- Next, keep mortar and wizard towers near the center, and put archer towers and cannons in the next outermost positions. All other buildings are just obstacles - they exist to take up hits while your defenses spray the enemy with firepower.
- Put your storages outside the walls to soak up hit-points and delay the attackers (you will not lose any loot on War defense)
#2) Attack the Enemy:
- Pick out the easy meat. Look for a base 10-15 rank spots lower than your own base. Proceed only if you know you can get 3 stars for sure.
- Plan, plan, plan. Use the "scout" function to visit your enemy base and mentally go through the motions of attack before you try it. Make sure you follow all the best practices, as listed below...
- First of all, LURE OUT THE CC TROOPS! And then kill them before you proceed to drop in your strong attack troops. If you don't know what I mean by this, just ask in chat. Someone can easily explain it to you.
- Then, take out weak defenses. Is there an exposed air defense? How about a wizard tower? You can take them out with a few barbarians/archers combo and then proceed to launch the full scale attack.
- A horde of giants or hog riders or balloons or dragons can be very effective, but they need support. Consider healing or rage spells to help them do the work.
- If you are using ground troops, remember to bring along lots of wall breakers. Many a giant has died standing at the wall, punching away to no avail.
- Reserve a few archers or barbarians at the end to clean up spare buildings. This can mean the difference between a tragic 99% and a glorious 100%
