These close wars are giving me grey hair prematurely lol.
What a see-saw of a war. We passed the lead back and forth several times. We succeeded in winning the battle on three stars. As mentioned in more detail below, it appears we lost our advantage due to too many 1's and not enough 2's. The end of the war was particularly exciting. Raze managed to tie the score with just under 2 hours left due to Nick's 3 star attack on base 23. 23 soaked 4 attacks from us before it fell so props to the designer for keeping us on our heels. Then Raze managed to take the lead thanks to a now banished member, Gio. Joining other clans in the middle of our war is not acceptable. I am glad he was able to come back to get his second attack in since the star was needed as badly as it was. Following that attack, the score didn't move until the last 5 minutes of the war.
With Raze holding a one star lead and only 9. FYI I'm Gch left to attack for us and the enemy still holding an attack from their townhall 10's (number 1. Frank the Tank and 2. nobsken), things looked bleak. With 3 minutes to go in the war, the enemy's number 2 base went down a townhall level to hit our number 4. Jim to add a star and tie the score again. With only FYI and Frank left to go, the last moment of the war was as pressurized as any war in memory. FYI managed to add a star in a 56% two star and Frank managed to add a star on a 48% attack against Duke.
As always, a big thanks to Cloud for the graphs.

Overall Stats
11 three stars, 9 two stars, 5 one stars, 0 bases left undefeated all leading to 130/180 clan xp.
Most heroic attack goes to Duke for laying down the 65% 2 star against the enemy's number 2 base.
Most heroic defense goes to 17.bribri for his stunning shut down of the enemy 16. alemax's attack.
As always, a big shout out to our 6 star attacker(s): Andrew, Thanks for restarting our streak of 6's Drew!

Make sure to get lots of war practice in this week during your regular raids. Remember to shoot for a base which has aspects that are vulnerable to the army you're practicing with. If you need help knowing what to look for, there is an excellent link to the reddit page that explains each army type and its strengths and vulnerabilities available in the CCE section.
On a different note, please make sure you're paying attention to Band as well as game chat during the close wars. During certain situations, Raze leadership may deviate from our normal policies in order to help secure the win. An example of this would be telling a player late in the war to just go for 2 stars instead of our normal 3 star attacks. As you can see in the graph above, securing the 2 star on bases 14 and 15 would have earned us a win. Our last several wars have been very close. I think the point that EVERY star matters has been extensively driven home to those of us that have participated in the last few wars. Please remain diligent in your war planning. Remember that the clan has several great attackers available to help give advice.
