Duke here,
Over in Raze Alpha, we started off strong with several three star attacks. Things got a little worrisome in the middle and then we pulled out an amazing 49-41 victory (did you hear that bravo? we scored more!). It was nice to see some more lavaloonion than we normally see in Raze wars. I would caution those of you that plan on trying this attack style in the future to make SURE you've selected a vulnerable base before proceeding with lavaloonion. In general, you need to be able to easily reach the air defenses, take out one air defense with hogs/heroes, and not have the air defenses overlap too much. Other than that, I would do a recap of the war time events but Brohammed/Lizpig does a fantastic job at it in the following two videos. Anything I would write up would pale in comparison! Thanks again for recording these attacks and helping out with strategy, Brohammed! Special shout out to Olav for an amazing 6 six star war!
For Raze Bravo, we never really had much competition. We were the first to see disappointment as Raze Bravo got the first war matchup, pairing up against London.. We made the best of our situation and ended up with a lopsided 43 - 26 victory. We kept it Raze style with high participation and strong attacks from Raze Bravo. Kudos to London for using most of their attacks as well. Some experimented, which is great, and hopefully gained new skills to help us get better in "real" wars. Special VIP callout to a new member Herod for bringing home 6 stars for Raze Bravo! Awesome job Herod!
As you guys know, I was promoted this week. I would like to thank Krusty for the resounding endorsement. I feel like I have learned a lot watching how he’s handled the clan in the past few months. It wasn’t easy and he deserves a lot of credit for keeping his cool and managing several different conflicting personalities pulling the clan in multiple directions. It was an honor to help him lead the clan to such accomplishments like our 21 war victory streak, new ways of evaluating war contributions, and the website upgrade and improvements to our tutorials.
As the new leader of RazeInfinity, I would like to see us continue to improve in several areas. This weekend’s “scrimmage” was a success in my mind even though alpha and bravo did not get matched against each other. I think the freedom to practice with some new war armies and the decreased emphasis on getting that win helped everyone relax and just have fun. As the Upgrade Order page discusses, we would like you to focus on upgrading entire components of an army to the best of your ability before switching to upgrading a different army composition. For example, if you want to move into using gowiwi, focus on those troops instead of getting distracted by upgrading the hound or some other army composition that is popular at the time.
I would also like us to remember our roots. We farm for loot. This clan was founded by farmers and it’s a big factor in why we have a lot of our members. I would like to see us continue to improve in war but this isn’t OneHive. I would say that few members of our clan have the time to make clash of clans a full time job. I expect us to learn from past mistakes and ask questions when you’re uncertain about an attack strategy. The clan has some valuable resources capable of giving you advice about everything from what should you spend that giant pile of gold onto how should a particular base best be attacked. As I tell potential new recruits on the forums, RazeInfinity is somewhere that will help you improve your game while having a lot of fun.
That’s all I have for this week.
RAZE ON!
